The island of Hawaii is fondly referred to as the
Big Island by residents and visitors alike. It is not only the largest
of the Hawaiian islands, but also the most "original", with a still active
volcano and an agricultural landscape: famous Kona coffee, fine macademia
nuts and magical orchid farms.
Big Island also has some gorgeous black sand beaches.

We highly recommend at least a day trip to the Big Island, visiting the
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Kona Coast.

For the more adventurous couples: there are wonderful
hiking and horse riding trails, you might want to stay overnight in a romantic
bed and breakfast right next to the volcano to explore the remote landscape.
